Dunno if they're thick enough but you could try.

Just got myself a pair of new Yellow spot V5 which I am currently breaking in my local pool main problem I
had was the foot entry is miles to small and a struggle to get my feet in not any more with the help of a stanley knife. These fins are very stiff comparded to the Vecktors and deliver about the same amount of the thrust on par with Ducks but with much less effort were they really excell is short burst acceleration .
The Vecktors could have been so much better the foot pocket needed to be wider and stiffer and the blades a touch stiffer .
When the kids go back to school I will try my V5 against my Da fins

Have you tried V7's Jerry? 2 inches longer. ASB and Jason MacMurray use them.

Would have to be really lucky to find a pair of V7 Yellow spots got semi narrow feet so don,t have a problem with old school vipers. As I get older now looking for a fin that does not put so much strain on my body, it is calf cramps that are my undoing . DaFins okay but feel like they are hanging off the end of my feet very comfy foot pocket .

Nice.

Funnily enough John wears DaFin now. Dunno if he's tried the new UDeeTs.

Been using the V5 now for a while and definitely less punishing on the calfs also taken to wearing Darkfin gloves and have been mighty impressed they give better grip than plain hands did not put any more strain on my shoulders and have taken the sting out of mat riding on my hands and have been spot on for that last bit of acceleration for getting into waves reckon should be in every mat riders armoury. Bit of a bugger to get on at first .
