2x Loal Hero kneeboards on eBay one is a Parks tri fin but the guy has added a couple more fin boxes so could be used as a quad the date on the board is 1989 but both in good nick
Also one of Bryns Kovert kneeboards looks nice
Don't come up often and good price.

Looks like the classic parkes 4 fin placement with the straighter front fins, maybe the centre was added? Shame about the deck recess, I struggle to ride boards with them as i tend to have my knees wide and edges can cause issues!

Interesting about the old Bro board I had one under the Local Hero label it was a swampstix 6' bumped squash tail it was a good board changed it to a 5 fin Bonzer and it flew surfed it at Tamerin Bay, sold it to a girl round the Bristol area who wanted to get into kneeboarding.
My thoughts were the same about the recess I did wonder about filling with deck pad then deck pad over to flush off but where do you get deck pad material?
Must have been shaped when Dave came over as it's not an import.
The fins I presumed where for a tri as the others aren't shown?

Bro board gone, gutted! Yes was shaped here on one of Parkesys visits at Local Hero hence the decals. Still tempted for the collection but I like to be able to ride them all and been looking for an old Local Hero board by Bro for a while and I let it slip doh!!!! First one I've seen come up for sale from that period.

Deck pad material is available in 5mm thick quite easily at the mo butnit would be a shame to ruin the originality. I think the centre box is definitely a later edition to the Parkes no one else put 4 fin boxes in like that. Quite a few examples around and the idea was the straighter front fins directed the water flow on to the rears.

Won't hesitate next time, still tempted by the Zoeller flex tail!!

That's interesting Bryn about he fin placement
I know what you mean about the zoeller but it's real boarder line at that price with the damage but so rare but it would have to be ridden as opposed to a wall hanger.
Maybe a copy?

Doh! Good move that man, if you don't get on with it or want some tips or go for a wave down this way give me a shout! Great to see more people giving it a go. Really is a great way to ride and I think compliments mat riding very well.

Enjoy!

I'm trying to suss some foam at the moment, modern single fin take on the slab coming soon [smile]

Speaking of all this, does anyone have a leash they don't need? Gawd knows where mine is.
