In climbing,the approach or journey to the climb is just as or more often key to the actual climb itself.How often do we apply that principle to riding waves?We should.Iceland,s a bad example,I used a 900 quid a week Toyota Yaris,an Argos dome tent,Marmite,homemade poteen and a Trangia,cheating,but you see what I mean...

Not too bad.My mate went to sit on a picnic bench,but didn,t realise it was two foot further away.Think that was akkavit playing its part.When I was living in Lofoten,wore eyemask,earplugs to sleep.Wondered how animals coped!
